Studying the School System

Thanks to CanTeach Connections, the Canadian education system is being studied in El Salvador. 

One of the Salvadoran conversation partners is currently  studying for a master’s degree in education.  Jackson Vladimir Marroquin asked his Canadian conversation partner if it might be possible to arrange a zoom meeting for his study partners, a group of four of his fellow students, with an educational administrator. 

A retired Canadian educator with a background as a teacher, consultant, and principal in Montreal agreed to share his experience with the Salvadoran master’s students.  After an hour of interesting conversation (with appropriate translation), both parties agreed that it had been a worthwhile learning experience.  The group felt well prepared to present their findings with the larger Salvadoran class of graduate students.
